(i) जनसंख्या की जनगणना का सचं ालन 25 जनवरी, 2027 स े28 फरवरी, 2027 तक ककया जाएगा, साथ ही इसका पुनरीक्षण दौर का संचालन 1 माच,च 2027 स े 5 माच,च 2027 तक ककया जाएगा;

(ii) उि जनगणना के संचालन के धलए, घर-घर जाकर जनसंख्या की गणना प्रारंभ होन े स े िीक पहल,े 10 जनवरी, 2027 स े24 जनवरी, 2027 तक स्व-गणना का धवकल्प रहगे ा;
(iii) उि जनगणना के धलए सदं भ चतारीख माच,च 2027 के पहल े कदन को 00:00 बज े होगी। [फा. स.ं 9/8/2025-सी.डी(सनै )] मृतयुंिय कुमार नारायण, भारत के महारजिस्ट्रार एवं िनगणना आयुक्त MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS (Office of the Registrar General, India) NOTIFICAITON New Delhi, the 30th October, 2026 S.O. 5913(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Census Act, 1948 (37 of 1948) read with rules 6A and 6D of the Census Rules, 1990, the Central Government hereby declares that in all States and Union territories of India except the State of Manipur (till further declaration), the States of Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, the Union territory of Ladakh and the snow-bound non-synchronous areas of the State of Himachal Pradesh and the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir—
(i) the conduct of census of the population shall be undertaken from the 25th January, 2027 to the 28th February, 2027 with a revisional round from the 1st March, 2027 to the 5th March, 2027;
(ii) for the conduct of the said census, there shall be an option for self-enumeration from the 10th January, 2027 to the 24th January, 2027, just before the start of the house to house population enumeration;
(iii) the reference date for the said census shall be 00:00 hours of the 1st day of March, 2027. [F.
