Ministry of Cooperation IMPLEMENTATION OF WHITE REVOLUTION 2.0 प्रव तथ: 29 JUL 2026 4:43PM by PIB Delhi The progress of the White Revolution 2.0 is reviewed regularly by the Ministry of Cooperation during the Monthly State review meetings and the quarterly National Review Conferences. Along with this, the progress of White Revolution 2.0 is reviewed in the Annual Regional Workshops conducted in coordination with Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD) and National Dairy Development Board.

Under the initiative, the Ministry of Cooperation has envisaged to set up 75,000 new Dairy Cooperative Societies (DCSs) in uncovered panchayats/villages and strengthen 46,422 existing DCSs. Till now, 24,097 new DCS have been formed and 31,394 existing DCS have been strengthened. The State/UT wise progress in the establishment of new DCS and strengthening of existing societies under the initiative is enclosed as ANNEXURE-1.

The Ministry has taken various steps to enhance Milk procurement and Dairy infrastructure under the initiative through formation of new Dairy cooperative societies and strengthening of existing dairy cooperative societies which include funding support for Bulk Milk Coolers, Automatic Milk Collection Units, milk testing and quality equipment, processing and chilling infrastructure, and working capital and technical support to Dairy Cooperative Societies.
