Will the Minister of WOMEN AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:
(a) whether it is true that the Ministry under PM-JANMAN has been given a target to
provide 2,500 Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) in the country to PVTG communities...

Will the Minister of WOMEN AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:
(a) whether it is true that the Ministry under PM-JANMAN has been given a target to provide 2,500 Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) in the country to PVTG communities within the Mission target period of 2023-26; and
(b) if so, whether 2,390 AWCs have been made operational across the country till March, 2026 and are running from their own premises, if so, the details thereof, State-wise and if not, by when all the 2,500 AWCs are going to be constructed and run from such centres? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF WOMEN & CHILD DEVELOPMENT (SHRIMATI SAVITRI THAKUR)
(a) to (b) The PM JANMAN Mission launched by Ministry of Tribal Affairs, is aimed at targeted development of 75 Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) residing in 18 States and a UT. This Mission focuses on 11 interventions related to 9 Ministries including Ministry of Women and Child Development. A total of 2498 Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) have been sanctioned for construction @ Rs 12 lakh per AWC during the three Financial Years i.e FY 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26. Out of the 2498 sanctioned AWCs, 2487 AWCs have become operational and construction of new buildings has been completed in 714 AWCs. The state wise details of operational AWCs under PM JANMAN are placed at Annexure.Annexure Statement referred to in reply to Parts (a) to (d) of Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No.
