NOTIFICATION Mumbai, the 8th September, 2026 Under clause 7A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) S.O. 5001(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (7A) of Section 2 of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government hereby authorize the officer mentioned in column of the table below as “Competent Authority” to perform the functions as such authority under the said Act with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette in respect of the special railway project “Proposed construction of ROB & RUB (7nos.) in lieu of Level Crossing Gate nos. 39B Railway Km 862/07-08 Between Nagpur-Itarsi & Nagpur- Ballarshah section of Nagpur Division” in the State of Maharashtra, District- Chandrapur relating to Taluka mentioned in column of the said table for the public purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of such Special Railway Projects.
