Posted On: 13 SEP 2026 3:57PM by PIB Delhi Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Smt. Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhaniya, visited the Food Corporation of India (FCI) Silo Plant at Kayavarohan in Vadodara and interacted with senior officials of FCI.

Union Minister reviews FCI’s modern storage and automated grain handling facilities at Kayavarohan During the visit, the Minister was briefed on the facilities, operations and overall functioning of the silo plant. She inspected various operations, including grain storage, procurement, handling of wheat-carrying wagons, automation systems and laboratory facilities. The Minister also reviewed details related to the functioning of the plant and the various processes involved in the handling and storage of foodgrains.Smt. Nimuben Bambhaniya also participated in a plantation drive at the facility as part of the visit.

FCI Gujarat Region General Manager Shri Sudesh Kumar Yadav, Deputy General Manager Shri Amit Tiwari, Divisional Manager, FCI Vadodara Division, Shri Sham Lal, along with other senior officials, were present during the visit.
