Election of one nominee by the members of the Senate to the Vice-Chancellor Search Committee for Recommending a panel of names for Appointment as Vice-Chancellor (Lr No. EI(1)/29691/2025) No.VI - 3(b)/26/2025.
Under Statute 7 of Chapter V of the General Statutes of the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, and as directed by the Governing Council of the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, the Registrar of the University hereby notifies that a permanent vacancy is about to occur in the office of the Vice-Chancellor with effect from 01.06.2026 consequent on the expiry of the term of office of the present Vice-Chancellor, Dr. K.NARAYANASAMY, M.D., D.M. (Gastro.), Necessary action to elect one nominee by the Members of the Senate to the Committee referred to in Section 10 (2) of the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai , Act, 1987 ( Tamil Nadu Act 37 of 1987), to recommend a panel of three names to the Chancellor for making the appointment of the next Vice-Chancellor, will be taken on the publication of the Notification in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette as specified in the Annexure.
Necessary action to elect one nominee by the Members of the Governing Council to the said Committee as
provided under Statute 12(2) of Chapter V of the said Statutes will be taken on the publication of the Notification in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette.
